Knowsley Carers offers support to people who are caring for a family member or friend etc They have lots of activities for carers, day trips, help with benefits and so much more
Mixed views really, some aspects are ok but I waited quite a number of weeks for someone to ring about a few concerns I had with benefits which never happened and had to seek advice elsewhere, I rang to go through a carers assessment to be told they were snowed under and could not do it, I understand the need to have a service for carers but really it should be staffed accordingly otherwise the service will fail, I've not found it of any help to me so after taking all this into account I don't really feel it's a service that works well for everyone if time and staffing issues are a problem for the service, in my opinion it becomes a waste of funding that could be used better elsewhere, anyone who disagrees with my review it is not intended to upset anyone it's an opinion that I feel warrants the service I've recieved.
